Donating Books to FRIENDS of the Heights Libraries

The FRIENDS of the Heights Libraries take book donations from the community but please follow the rules below!

Books, CDs, DVDs and audio books donated to Friends of the Heights Libraries help supply the ongoing sales in the Harvey and FRIENDS Bookshop, the FRIENDS eBay Store and our Mega Book Sale held twice a year.

How to Donate

  • Donations of up to 5 boxes of books (and DVDs, CDs and audio books) will be accepted from the public at the Lee Road loading dock between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm Monday – Saturday ONLY.  Sunday drop-offs are not permitted.

  • Have more than 5 boxes? Email info@heightslibraries.org or call 216-932-3600, x1234 to schedule an appointment to drop-off donations or arrange a pick-up. A member of the FRIENDS will call back and arrange a time to pick-up your donation or to accept the donation at the loading dock.

  • Small donations (one bag or box) may be dropped off at the Lee Road circulation desk.

  • Please note: Bags/boxes will NOT be returned, so please do not give donations in bags or boxes you wish to keep.
